Bills, Bills, Bills, and Then… More Bills!
Always keep records. After paying a bill, write down how and when you paid it.
For example:
“Paid online 6/3/25 from account ending in -5678. Confirmation #23949023489.”
That small note can protect you later if the company says they did not receive your payment.
It is also understandable that sometimes you may have trouble paying a bill. If that happens, do not just avoid it. Assess your options.
Can you temporarily cut another expense? Can you borrow from savings? Can you ask a trusted family member or friend for short-term help? Can you call the company and ask about a payment plan, extension, hardship option, or partial payment arrangement?
